How It Works

  • Arrive, grab a drink, get comfortable - 15 mins

  • Quiet reading - 45 mins

  • Conversation and reflection - 15 mins

  • More reading - 45 mins

Come alone or bring a friend. No assigned texts. No pressure. Just good company and quiet pages.

The Giving Part

Tickets are donation-based, with a portion of every ticket going to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation - supporting access to books and literacy resources for remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

A reading community for people who underline things.

We live in the age of the summary. The five key takeaways. The book you can absorb in twelve minutes on an app.

Slow Pages Society is a monthly Sunday afternoon for people who want to slow down, read deeply, and connect thoughtfully - away from screens, notifications, errands, and noise.

Two intentional hours. A drink in hand. A table full of fellow readers.

Hosted by Alicia from Well, Well. in Canberra, each gathering follows a loose literary theme - from 20th century classics to Booker Prize lists, essays, wellbeing writing, contemporary fiction, and more. You don't need to read the same book as everyone else. Just bring whatever you're reading.
